Real Wall don't count! What sort of the numbers did they bring to The Den with them?
Was hard to tell looking at the highlights the other day, and i wasn't there..
There didn’t seem that many to me. I think they were in the ilderton but scattered around. A small mob of them did pipe up but got kicked out and were put behind the dugouts (about 20 of them) where they were further terrorised. There were supposedly some in the CBL for a time but didn’t last long. I can’t really comment as I got to the ground just before kick offwas that the game they wore their green and red kit?
They had red shirts on for sure. On the box it looked to me like they had black shorts..was that the game they wore their green and red kit?
Red, blue and green? They had red shirts on for sure. On the box it looked to me like they had black shorts..
How many Millwall were at the return game? Didn't a copper get stabbed?Smaller firms of theirs got weighed in outside the railway tavern two hours before the kick off, out of New Cross gate station and into an hiding. Can remember being on the half way line and a mob 60 or so plotted up at the back of the CBL, amazing grace/millwall was their chant but soon diverted into “ we’re the north stand Stamford bridge” then steaming into bods reading their programmes etc. Millwall were now coming from every part of the ground and had circled Chelsea who were now forced into the corner by the seats and severely dealt with, a chant of Chelsea went up in the ilderton but it didn’t last long as they all melted into the crowd. After the game we got on the tube at New Cross gate which was packed with all their firm, they were absolutely shitting themselves, read one of their forums once and one of their old school claimed that 76 at the den was the worst hiding they had ever took.
I wonder what the result would have been had the main bulk of the Millwall contingent who had planned to get in the shed had managed toCan’t recall the numbers we took but the north stand was full of our lot. Small firm of wall got in the shed loads locked out after a would be skirmish out on the street which happened to be another mob of Millwall coming from another meet, elephant I think .
I don't ever remember hearing that - probably before my time. It's brilliant!!Pre-segregation days, so no actual estimates of numbers. Although certain ends were no go areas, hence the Millwall fans great health & saftey advice sang to visting fans, 1.....2....345, if you want to stay alive, keep out of Cold Blow Lane!
