Bottom 3

What bottom three?
:hmmm:

I know it's been said recently, but it really is a funny ol' division this year. We are sixth and seven points from the relegation spots and eight points from top spot. The four teams that have beaten us are now all below us, and surprisingly, Sunderland leading the way after kicking on from last season.

We all know that we have a very decent squad, and on the surface, no superstars, they all look united and clearly enjoying playing for the club. There is a mixture of youth, experience, talent, grafters and hoofers when needed, so all the bases are covered. Plus, Neil Harris seems to have moved on a bit tactically and surprised a few (a lot) of us. It all makes for a promising rest of season.

The club has what it takes to take on anyone in this division with the confidence of getting results. It's now down to consistency, and with the solid squad and bench we have, we can even afford to ride out any injuries and suspensions (within reason).

I can't remember us being in this pretty strong situation during early November for quite a while, also knowing the club have the tools to sustain it.
We've generally been slow at starting these past few seasons and if I remember correctly, about this time of the year we usually still have a minus goal difference.

Get a good result tomorrow at Stoke and that next home game against Sunderland (with their good away support) has all the makings of another one of our World Cup finals.

:whist:

I don’t want Harris to go by any means, club legend and performed basically miracles last season.

I just want us to start winning while we are playing relatively well, because if that changes, as competitive as this league is then we have problems.

We’ll probably win 3 in a row now and I’ll be the biggest cunt going (I hope it happens)

I called the 3 in a row but not 4

I also started the panic thread so I know all and nothing it seems

You were nearly right mate. Four in a row and one draw. All narrow margins- a goal a game but things seemed to have clicked since that barren spell. In that spell of five we only lost one but couldn't turn those draws into wins. In typical Millwall fashion and after failing to get anything from lowly Cardiff and drawing to struggling Derby we go on to beat two of the top three in Burnley and Leeds. Millwall logic-- there's no such thing. I also think we've been unlucky in some games and should be a few more points better off.

Hitting

We're currently 8th on 23 points

This time last season after 15 played we were sat in 18th place with 17 points. It took us until late December to get to the same points total that we're on now.

I think if Coburn stays fit and gets a run of games we will continue to pick up results. With the Serb yet to get games plus the January window to come we're in a good position to most certainly maintain this run and who knows even improve on it. That means picking up more points away from the Den and turning those draws into wins and narrow defeats into draws.

I believe that there's a lot more to come from this team. The spirit and togetherness within the camp is good and us fans are happy and onside. The winning mentality is infectious and creates a siege mentality within the club.
