Nisbet admits Leven was a big factor behind his loan exit from Millwall and just like he had with Hibs, the Aberdeen coach is a man in his corner pushing him to his limits. He said: “That is what you need in our career. If you look at the clubs where I have done well, the gaffer or assistant has faith in me and got my back. Clubs like Raith, Dunfermline and Hibs I have always had that.

“Peter was a big factor in me coming up. He was probably the biggest factor and the Scotland issue as well. I am delighted to be back up and playing games. Pete was massive. We have the same agent, Nicky Nicholson, and that helps. Pete called me and he was quite persistent.

“He called me and called me. I have known him for a while. He told me come up here and we will get you back firing, playing games and scoring goals. I started to look into things more. I looked at the gaffer’s philosophy and what he did at other clubs. I liked what I saw and I thought it would suit me. I made my decision and it was a case of getting it done as quickly as possible.
“He told me in that first phone call I am going to be on you 24/7, which is what I need. He will always be at me. He helps me in training and we do extra work and sessions. We go through clips as well. That is what I need and what I have needed when I have done well. He is very persistent.”

What a load of bull, all he had to do with us was work hard and play for his place , instead he bottled it and ran back to Mummy.
What a to$$er.

maybe. but if we did loan him to another championship club and he did well, it would help us get a big chunk of the money he cost us, in the coming summer
Him doing well for one of our rivals kind of negates any money that we may get for him. I doubt we'd have had many takers either. He's a bad egg and unless someone was desperate why would they take the risk? He couldn't hack it down here and was sent back up the road for a reason.

He breached his contract. I'd be surprised if we pay the whole fee to the club we got him from. He certainly won't be getting the wages that were initially agreed. I honestly think the club will be relieved just to get him away and will have to wipe their mouths on whatever the losses are.

We’ve all been at firms where we didn’t like it or felt the manager was against us, but I’m sure we still have given 100% all the time when working there.

True….I once stayed one week in a company when after the first day I knew I had fucked up by going there. None the less I always carried out with 100% seriousness of what was asked of me.

I think the difference is that Scotland is like Sunday League football and can make any average player seem better than they are... Even the League champions get mauled 7-1 in the round robins in Europe. He just wanted the 'last word' to make himself feel better.. but we had the 'last laugh' as we unloaded him to make space for someone who could actually play in the English leagues.

We're still paying him and paying him well. I'm not sure our bean counter will be laughing. I very much doubt we'll get back what we paid out if and when we get rid. Ideally we want him to score every week until January. I'd actually recall him in January to try and force the issue with Aberdeen.

Hopefully by January... he'll be 'feeling at home' in Sweatsville and be scoring at will.
