He was offered a deal by Millwall but chose to sign for Brentford on a four-year deal (with a possible one-year extension). Not much the club can do about it - good luck to the lad.

Why? Is he any good? Brentford have a knack of spotting potential talent and bringing them through.

Has great potential. Saw him play a few times and looked a class above everyone else on the pitch. Good luck to him but FFS brenford!!! They were a basket case club a few years back. Similar to the spotters.

They have a proper plan, a system that works and a knack for finding talent and bringing them through. Facilities alone and If i wasn't Wall i know which club i'd rather my son was at.

Brentford's owner once worked for Tony Bloom, and is using a similar data driven mechanism to getting new players in and building the team. At some point they had a massive falling out, so much so that Bloom now chooses to sit in the stands when at Brentford, rather than take a seat in the exec box. Be interesting to see how Stephenson gets on.
