AN

I agree. It is all a far cry from how NH saw it all unfolding this season. He was a very traditional manager who saw togetherness, team spirit and working hard for the cause the most important aspects of his vision. However, that can only take you so far as there were constant references to lack of quality and composure by NH and GR. Now whether this new model can take us further forward than we have managed over the past few seasons is up for debate. On paper we looked to have signed some quality and pace and the future looks very bright and I look forward to seeing it all unfold in the coming months.

I judge players on ability and attitude and nothing else but how great for the club the number of black players we now have.

Hopefully, it’ll go some way to us losing the unfair and untrue racist reputation we’re often tarred with 🤞

The thing with AN is that he seems to have bought into the philosophy from the club, and has tried to make small changes. The first few games were tough, the last few have been good.

If the policy of signing young and trying to sell on is being adopted, we will have spells where things are shit, but as long as AN and the board are working together in it, then I see good progress ahead

We're a championship club. All this "madness" will galvanise that I'm sure. That said there's a couple of signings in there that might well light the division up so you never know. All being well I'd imagine the new look squad and management are superior to that of Luton and Ipswich who made the step up. Can't see a situation where this way of running Millwall will throw us into relegation scraps but obviously you never know for sure. Great intent Millwall and kudos to AN for buying in! I'll never dig NH or GR out for their efforts and train of thought but they were different days.

I’m genuinely optimistic about this current squad , I know we’ll never know but wonder how NH would’ve spent the Esse cash .

Without those 2 and all the players that have been regulars, we wouldn't be able to do what we are now doing, slowly turning us into an established Championship club after olloway's mess was an achievement in itself.

It wouldn’t have been up to him. I think that was part of the problem for him.
There's the thing mate. He possibly/probably wouldn't have agreed to all this. At the end of the day you need to tow the line or refuse and leave if bosses lay out what they want to do. I don't blame Harris for how he saw it but at the same time I'm pleased AN is prepared to go along with what's been decided. Just so happens I think they're doing the right thing. I guess we've all been in positions where we've questioned authority only to have been proved wrong.

There's no question we were stale and stagnant so this change of direction comes as a great surprise. Personally my feelings for our match day squads would never diminish but I'm all for a bit of relative success.

AN will have a job on his hands trying to keep players happy. We are heavy with attacking options, with everyone fit there must be well over a dozen or so players vying for a handful or positions. You have to assume that Cundle and the Dutch lad will be automatic starters so that doesn’t leave a lot of room for others.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out in the next few months and into the summer.

Any question about young Jim’s commitment to the cause can be well and truly blown out of the water. He’s just as committed as his dad was.
Not sure if it was mentioned on Saturday but at half time he walked round the pitch to present some school kids with a trophy in front of the Junior Lions stand. Don’t think it was a Millwall team just kids from a local school

Nice problem to have. When AN joined he said he saw it as a project, rebuilding the squad was required and I think that was an interesting challenge for him.

With 5 subs to choose from now, no doubt some squad rotation thrown in, it will be up to the players to command a place.

If it works out, I can see Cundle stepping in for a midfield playmaker slot. Choices on either wing and up top. It might take a bit of time but Banga and Esse have shown that if you are ready, then you are ready for it regardless of age.

I really don't see what colour has to do with anything.
My comment was intended to identify a positive by-product of our signings and “liked” by 10 other members who clearly didn’t have a problem with the post.

With regards to me, you’ve had your agenda for some time and it’s becoming tedious 🥱

Your comment was bang on. Maybe only 10 bothered but probably thousands were nodding in agreement

I don’t think AN is just “going along with it”. I think he’s part of it and totally committed to it as he shared the same values and way forward strategy as those upstairs. Otherwise he wouldn’t be here. His choice not ‘upstairs’. 👍🙏

Yeah, fair play. I should have worded that better.
