Alex Neil.

Respectfully disagree. He's a dangerous striker on his day but a sulky little fuck HOWEVER, he's still worth a try if he wants in.
You’d know better than me Canning seeing him at Hibs as I’m guessing you did . I’m basing my my comments on what I’ve seen and heard during his stint here . All about opinions and I respect yours mate too . What forums are all about . It’s all about attitude and desire isn’t it ? As you say “if he wants in “ could be an entirely different player and I’ll happily change my point of view on him .

Acording to the SLP Robbins did not even want to talk to us, think that says a lot about the people running the club ?
More than likely, being a northerner, he’d prefer to bind his time and wait for an opportunity north of London 🤔

There's the thing. At Hibs it was a different ball game but I haven't seen it since. My career was all about adapting which wasn't always easy but it was what I signed up for. I'd call pro football a much easier ride with ample rewards so I'd want the appropriate effort. Not all run away when it becomes difficult. Mini rant over.

Even if his attitudes changes, there is the rest of our squad to consider, did he lose their respect? If so I wouldn't have thought he would consider going back.
It might not be the case but I feel if he couldn't prosper under Harris then it's not going to work.

We will see EA if and when he comes back , was it a season long loan with a recall clause or just till the end of the calendar year ? For the life of me I’m f@@ked if I can remember.

No idea of the loan deal, I would hope their is a chance we can sell him next month if any other club has £50 to spare.

Agreed mate but everyone deserves a chance to make amends right? I've made things right with people over the years, mouth wiped! Harris might have scared him. He could be quite stubborn and unforgiving. That said, Kev didn't do himself any favours though.

Money grabber with no loyalty. Yes got Norwich into premier league and Sunderland from L1 agreed but failed at Stoke having jumped ship from Sunderland simply for the money
Sunderland didn't offer him a proper contract if I remember right.
They had him on some weird arrangement?

I suppose if he likes what he works with he has loyalty. Don't they all?

He stayed at PNE for four years and left by mutual consent and was out of work for a year.

At Norwich he got sacked in March after the PL relegation when Norwich were 8th in the Championship (2 years).

At Sunderland, the lack of loyalty was from Sunderland. They had him on a 12-month rolling contract with no reward for the promotion. They only made him an improved offer after he had spoken to Stoke with Sunderland's permission.

He lasted 16 months at Stoke before being binned. That's the norm for that basket case club.
