Alex Neil.

AN is impressive. Ticking all the boxes for me👌

When it comes to Millwall, I try to keep a level head but I'm really quite excited by the future under him👍

Body language.... you can see from how he is talking he is reflective on things that have actually happened, not making up troupes to pad out an interview effectively saying fuck all.

You can see how he has got the players on board, feels like he has professionalised the operation, longer term strategy balanced with the here and now transition. Not felt that in a long long time.

Clearly onboard with JB/Gallen strategy and portrays that in how it talks about it being a team effort. I can see him being here a very long time (unless poached).
Are you a ‘Change Manager’ Zampa as you speak my language?

I'm not but have been involved in business transformation, target operating models and managed large numbers of people, supported by mobilisation and change management. So its a bit obvious for me, owning the whole, you fail I fail, I fail you fail....

You sound like my profile mate👍 Transformation programmes, culture change, organisational development, programme & project management etc. 😉 You permanent or interim/consultancy?

Permanent... I've normally been a recipient of change/transformation in majority of my roles, playing the part of SME (demanding customer ) during the process. I have also sat on the other side of the fence, moreover for my business experience, being a fixer between business and transformation. Enjoyed it, albeit public enemy number one on occasion, people don't like change, but the bullshit to resist on occasions leading to me calling it out (poacher turned gamekeeper).

One thing I do recognise though is it is better to bring the org along with you than force it. Getting people involved in creation at all levels leads to better ownership and buy in.

We need to talk mate as I like what you’re saying. I’ll PM you - ok with you?

Poor sod is in B&B. You’d think the Club would put him up in a 5Star hotel. 😉
