Gillingham have a new American owner, Brad Galinson, who has come in with money to spend, if Harris doesn't get them out of the relegation zone after the new signings have been made then it would be fair to say he hasn't done a good job and you would expect him to be sacked.
I would put my money on him getting them climbing the table if he can get 3/4 good signings in to add to the 2 they have already made.
