N/W Why do NHS never stick to appointment times.

Medical appointments are invariably never on time….except my Dentist who I see every 6 months. 14:00h is 14:00h, it’s not 13:59 or 14:01 you can set your watch by him and don’t even think about showing up late!

    The Den light shows

I took my 8 year old Grandson to his first football match to see PSG last week. Before the kick off they put on a light with the music to go with it and I must admit it was quite impressive and the kid loved it. As you say it’s the way football is going.

    Baby Nisbet.

True….I once stayed one week in a company when after the first day I knew I had fucked up by going there. None the less I always carried out with 100% seriousness of what was asked of me.

    80 Years ago today.

Same with me. born in 1950 and was never taught at school about WW2 or WW1. My Dad was in the Navy from 1938 until 1950 and practically never spoke about the war. My Mum who lived near Tower bridge used to talk a little about being bombed but no more than that.

    OAP

I was at that game and stood near the dugout underneath the directors box. Wilson was sitting next to Mickey Purser. We took a real tonking that day (1/3) and during the second half a geezer hauled himself up the wall and started to slag off Purser in front of a very surprised Wilson. I don’t...

    Charlie Hurley RIP

A little before my time but a few on here might have seen him in a ‘Wall shirt. When I was a kid I remember the old timers down the Den speaking highly of him.

Once upon a time at Millwall

When I first saw Stan play was in the 1957/58 season. It might be because I was a young kid and easily impressed but you are right…he had the biggest thighs that I ever saw on anybody, they were fucking huge!!

    Keith Weller what a player

And they cost next to nothing on transfer fees. Jeez Benny Fenton had knack of finding gems!

    Keith Weller what a player

He gave the best performance that I ever saw from any player from any team when we stuffed the Palace 5/0 (or 5/1 can’t remember). He absolutely slaughtered them day. Cheeky fucker made a point of being the last man off the pitch at the end of the game to lap up all the richly deserved applause...
