I think that Huddersfield are down. Although the other place will probably be taken by Brum or Wednesday, the Blackburn and Plymouth odds are quite tempting.
Good thinking on the part of the club. I imagine that the buy back clause has an end date? If we can wait until January, then I would do so to see how he gets on in L1 in the first part of the season.
I think that C'ship clubs are currently allowed to lose £35m over a rolling 3-year period and that there is some additional dispensation for COVID losses, so we are probably ok for the time being.
That said, losing +/-£15m per season is unsustainable. No doubt we can apply some creative...
Imo Fleming's a good C'ship player but he lacks the pace or quickness of feet to succeed in the PL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Series A.
Maybe Norwich, WBA or similar will come in for him? Imo if we are offered £5m for him we should take it.
You've got to laugh.
Half of the comments are lambasting their players for their arrogance in thinking that they simply needed to turn up at the ticket office and collect 3 points: The other half wonder how their clearly superior team can possibly lose to such a poor team as Millwall😂
Esse was very good last night (as we're all the others).
I don't think we have worked out what is his best position yet. The weight of pass to send Obefemi through was superb. He could be the central midfield playmaker that we have been missing.
Thanks, Silver.
Must confess that after Saturday's abject display, I feared the worse. Instead, we were treated to the best performance of the season🤷Everyone played their part. Apart from the last 5 mins, they didn't really look like scoring (and we could have been 3-up by then).
Three more...
Aaron Paul is a Man Utd fan but he does have a soft spot for us. He was a regular on Nick Hart's 'Achtung Millwall' podcast for a couple of years. Still pops there occasionally when his 5live commitments allow.
Will never work. Crap line-up: Ramos, Modic, Messi, Lewandowski and Ronaldo (too old); Davies, De Bruyne (too injury prone); Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk (too Scouse). Maybe I'd have Mbappe on the bench. Agree about Oblak, mind. Good keeper😉
