Millwall have been able to secure the loan signing of Newcastle United midfielder Shane Ferguson until near the end of January.
With the Northern Ireland international joining us on a 93 day maximum loan spell back ahead of the opening day of the 2015-16 season, he made 29 appearances for the side, scoring twice – both coming against Colchester United in the November’s four one victory.
With manager Neil Harris making no secret of the fact he felt we had gone in to Newcastle with a good permanent offer for the player upon the expiry of his loan spell – but equally not been averse to another loan, whilst it seems the permanent deal might be off the table, an extension has now been agreed until Saturday January 23.
We’ll have to see what the future brings as that date cycles round.
