Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.
The performance by Shane Ferguson in Millwall’s two one victory over Oldham Athletic at the weekend at Boundary Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.
I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Ferguson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.
‘The left foot of Ferguson proved to be too much for Oldham Athletic to handle, with the winger the architect behind both Millwall goals in a 2-1 win at Boundary Park. The Newcastle United winger’s loan spell has since expired, although Lions’ boss Neil Harris is keen to bring the Northern Ireland international back to the Den on a permanent basis.’
It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Ferguson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.
