Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Shane Ferguson in the four three victory over Bristol Rovers at the weekend at the Memorial Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Ferguson was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘A dramatic afternoon at the Memorial Stadium saw Millwall hold on to the fourth and final Play-Off spot, courtesy of a 4-3 win at Bristol Rovers. Ferguson`s set-pieces were instrumental, with three of the goals ? including Shaun Hutchinson`s late winner ? coming from the Northern Ireland international`s corners.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Ferguson for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the points and clinching that Play Off spot.
