Millwall secured a 5-2 win over Braintree Town in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Harry Smith’s hat trick assured Millwall didn’t suffered a cup upset as the Lions came from a goal down to eventually see off non-league side Braintree.

Michael Cheek put Braintree ahead early in the game when he scored from 20-yards but Millwall hit back a minute later when Smith converted when Lee Gregory pulled the ball back to him.

Smith added his second on 21 minutes with Shane Ferguson finishing into the corner to open up a two goal lead soon after. However, Jack Midson got Braintree back into the game before half time when he curled home.

Three minutes into the second half Smith’s simple finish rounded off his treble with Aiden O’Brien completing the scoring for Millwall in injury-time.
