Manager Ian Holloway has already ruled out both Nicky Bailey and David Forde for the game this weekend against Burnley.

Speaking to the official site to explain why both players would be missing and not undergoing late fitness tests tomorrow, the gaffer explained.

‘Fordey is 90% there now, but he’s still feeling a slight niggle. Nicky had been working very hard on his fitness but his back has just gone into spasm and we’re trying to get that sort out now.’

Bailey was rested for the last game where we lost to Reading, and Forde suffered a thigh injury in the win over Ipswich Town and has already missed our two most recent matches and it is a blow for Holloway as he was hoping and expecting to welcome both of them back into contention this weekend, but fingers crossed both with be ready the next match and Ollie can start going into games with a fully fit squad, selecting what he feels in the best first team selection.

In other injury news, Holloway can welcome back Richard Chaplow following his omission from the last three games with a calf injury and Jermaine Easter has also recovered from the bang he took on the foot whilst representing the U21s last Tuesday.

Scott McDonald is restored to the squad after missing the last two, and Ed Upson could be in line for his debut.

Youngsters Denzel Gerrar and Jack Powell will take place on the bench.

However Holloway has lost Danny Shittu who has gone down with a sore groin. In his place could be either skipper Paul Robinson, shane Lowry back from his suspension, or another new signing Shaun Williams who can also operate at centre half.
