Following news of Tony Craig’s damage to his lateral ligament and hamstring tendon in the game against Bradford City last Saturday, following full assessments and detailed advice, the player has opted to undergo surgery to correct the injuries and he will now do that before the end of the week.

Physio Bobby Bacic confirmed to the official site earlier today that surgery was deemed the best option for the defender, and he will now be operated on by the same surgeon who took care of Carlos Edwards with his long term injury.

‘TC will have surgery late next week. We are using the same surgeon who operated on Carlos Edwards most recently. We will update everyone after TC’s surgery is complete on the projected timelines as his surgery will give us the complete picture, along with the scans that have already been done.’

Probably the best option for his long term recovery but it will still mean a lengthy spell on the sidelines for the player, so we just have to hope the rehabilitation goes as well as it possible can in the circumstances.
