Soon to be January signing Paris Cowan-Hall has said he’s relishing the opportunity of Championship football with Millwall and he’s determined to have an impact.

With him ineligible for the FA Cup third round tie against Bradford City this Saturday, he could make his debut when we host Blackpool when we return to league action and he’s said he can’t wait to get in the thick of things and prove that manager Ian Holloway was right to back him to make the jump from League Two life at Wycombe Wanderers up to the Championship.

Speaking to the official site after the deal was all signed and then shelved until the window opens again, he explained.

‘I’ll be there watching the game, and then next week I’ll be training with the squad and hopefully will be involved against Blackpool on January 10. I’m very excited to be here and pleased to have the opportunity to take on the next challenge in my career. The manager has told me that I will need to work hard, but that’s the bare minimum in my view whenever I play.’

He adds that he’ll be doing everything he can in 2015 to help us improve our league form and push us up the table.

The 24 year old comes to us having come through Portsmouth’s Academy back in 2009, and since then he’s gone on to play for Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Rushden, Woking, Plymouth and most recently Wycombe.

He has only made 73 recorded starting appearances in his career, with a further 31 from the bench, but he has found the net 17 times.

His career really got going at Plymouth and he’s continued apace at Wycombe, so hopefully he’ll make the step up quickly and continue to impress for us.
