DARREN BYFIELD has signed a two-year deal with Championship new boys Doncaster Rovers ending speculation that he could be returning to The Den.
Babyboy told the Donny official website: ‘I’m delighted to have signed and I’m really looking forward to it. Donny being a Championship side is a big thing and with the football being played here, I wanted to be a part of it.’
The cynical among us might read that as ‘they were the ones offering the most money and I didn’t have too many other options’.
I am sure his wife, soul diva, Jamelia will be delighted as I have never heard of anyone being caught up in the wild nightlife of Doncaster. Very nice place though it is.
Mind you, I thought they were the best footballing side in our division last year, a feat they achieved with no real stars, just a good team spirit. I hope for their sakes they know what they’re letting themselves in for!
