AHMET BRKOVIC scored a second-half winner as Millwall beat Bray Wanderers 1-0 in the final game of their Irish tour.

Having drawn 1-1 with Shelbourne earlier this week, manager Kenny Jackett opted to rest Gary Alexander, Andy Frampton and Ryan Smith who were all carrying minor knocks.

Lions skipper Paul Robinson nearly provided the first goal of the match on 21 minutes but his looping header clipped the post, while at the other end David Forde was on hand to deny Paul Dunphy.

After a wave of substitutions on the hour mark, the visitors began to take control of the game and it wasn’t long before Ashley Grimes and David Martin combined well down the left to cross for Brkovic to turn home.

Boss Jackett also cast his eye over trialists Charlie Daniels from Tottenham and Michael Daly from Manchester City, both of whom made appearances in the second period.
