The expected loan move of defender Matthew Briggs to Colchester United has now been confirmed by Millwall.
The 23 year old left back moves to League 1 on a standard loan until the end of the season, and having signed a one year deal with us back in August, he is out of contract next summer and he’s unlikely to return to The Den.
Having made his debut against Wycombe Wanderers in our Capital One Cup win, he actually grabbed the winning goal in the game and was then sent off for two bookable offences – the first yellow coming for taking his shirt off to celebrate the goal.
He leaves us having made a total of twelve appearances, with that one goal.
