21 year old Tom Bender has moved to Welling United on an emergency loan deal which will see him remain at the club until April 26th.
He’s predominantly a left back, but he can also play at centre half and the loan spell out should allow him to develop further and get plenty of games under his belt so he can build on his experiences in the U21 Development Squad this season, to which he’s been a regular, having joined us from Colchester back in March 2013.
Welling are 13th in the Skrill Premier Conference Premier table, and they have hopes of pushing for the play off spots, and Bender will no doubt be hoping to play a big part in that over the coming few months.
