Club physio Bobby Bacic has revealed that three players are all ready to step up their individual training plans ahead of the squad’s return on Thursday for pre season training ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.

Speaking to the official site ahead of Thursday’s return to action for the pre season build up to our 2015-16 League One campaign, Bacic revealed that Shaun Williams, Jamie Philpot and Carlos Edwards had all made good progress over the summer and are all ready now to step up their own individual programmes of return to fitness.

‘We are happy to report all the injured players are progressing well at present. Shaun Williams has started outdoor work with no ill effect and he has been joined by Jamie Philpot who has also started light outdoor work this week. Shaun will blend into the main training group when they return for pre-season training on Thursday. Carlos Edwards has been given the green light to join in full training by his surgeon, which is very pleasing news.’

For Edwards specifically given his injury and the length of time he’s been out Bacic did urge caution as he makes his return because it will still need to be managed despite getting the green light and the obviously pleasure that would bring the player.
