Manager Neil Harris has said he was pleased with Millwall’s performance in last night’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy Semi Final win over former club Southend United.

Taking the two nil victory on the evening at Roots Hall, with goals coming from Steve Morison and the Shaun Williams, Harris saw his side book their place in the Area Finals of the competition this year and one step closer to the Wembley show piece final.

With Oxford taking a three two victory over Yeovil last night, we now meet them at the next stage of the competition in the New Year.

Speaking after the match, Harris admitted it was a slow start from the side but he felt they grew nicely into to the match and with a solid performance, he felt it was a deserved victory.
