THE SUCCESSION of strikers linked to Millwall, who have subsequently moved to other clubs, looks to possibly have another name added to the list.

Crewe have already lodged a bid for Leeds’ striker, Anthony Elding. It is now thought that Carlisle have added their name to his list of suitors, with Leeds confirming they have received a second bid.

It is thought Leeds are looking for a fee in the region of £150,000. That doesn’t seem bad value, given his goal scoring record in recent seasons (Stevenage 51 goals, 106 games, Stockport 24 in 45).

It is believed that this fee would constitute a fair loss for Leeds on what they paid Stockport for the 26 year old just over a year ago. Elding was in talks with Crewe earlier in the summer but couldn’t agree personal terms.

Elding is represented by former Alex striker, Lee Matthews. It would appear that Kenny is either playing his cards very close to his chest or that he feels we have sufficient firepower for this coming season.
