Following Millwall’s relegation to League One for 2015-16, chief executive Andy Ambler has been re-elected to the Football League board as a League One representative.

Having vacated his place as one of the Championship representatives following our relegation, he now takes up the new position alongside Scunthorpe United’s James Rodwell as a representative for the League One level.

New Championship representatives are Brighton’s Paul Barber and Wolverhampton Wanderers Jez Moxey.

Speaking after the Football League Board election process, chairman Greg Clarke explained.

‘It gives me great pleasure to welcome Jez and Paul on to the Board and to welcome Andy back. Each of them has enormous experience in professional football, as well as being widely respected by our clubs. I very much look forward to working with all three of them in the period ahead.’

Ambler said himself of the re-election, albeit a slightly different position.

‘I`m delighted to be able to continue on the Board of The Football League and I would like to thank League One clubs for supporting my candidacy. The League has made genuine progress in recent seasons and I look forward to playing my part in its future.’
