One of the biggest events of the year to promote the Non League game will return for an eighth consecutive season during the next international break.

With October’s international break meaning a pausing of fixtures at Premier League and Championship level, it’s the perfect time for fans to rock up at a local Non League side, support the more grass roots level and Non League Day will once again be raising funds for Prostate Cancer UK.

For 2017 the weekend of October 7 and 8 has been picked.

President of the National League, Brian Lee, is quoted by the Football Supporters’ Federation as saying.

‘We totally support the ethos of Non-League Day. Such an opportunity gives all clubs the chance to open their doors and develop new friends and fans to our ever-growing family. This annual event is now well and truly embedded in the football calendar and we sincerely hope that it once more draws forth the recognition it deserves.’
