Millwall have only 18 points left to play for in this year’s battle in League One.

With the games dwindling down now at the real business end of the campaign as Millwall find themselves heading towards the end of May, there are six games remaining in the campaign as we continue to push for the League One Play Off Spots and automatic promotion back to the Championship via the Wembley route.

Continuing to sit in seventh place three points off Southend United who occupy the final Play Off spot, we no longer have a game in hand on them and given the double defeat to Swindon Town and Sheffield United, Millwall provided the reaction needed against now fifth placed Scunthorpe and we do have a game in hand on them.

If we can get back on a run of successive victories whilst the automatic spots are now really out of our reach, a few slip ups from those in the Play Off spots could see us get to fourth or even third.

But this next match of games will be the deciding factor in that and the later in April tie against Fleetwood Town could now take on significance of its own.
